Mr. Dale Schmidt ~ Principal

Mr. Dyllan Jensen ~ Teacher/Principal Apprentice 


Dyllan Jensen grew up in the small town of Juneau, WI where his parents own the local grocery store. He graduated from St. Johns Lutheran School in Juneau before moving on to Lakeside Lutheran High School in Lake Mills, WI. After graduation, Dyllan chose to attend Martin Luther College and become a teacher. Dyllan  graduated from Martin Luther College this past May with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. He double majored in Elementary Education and also Early Childhood Education.

Dyllan comes from a family where he is the oldest of six children. He married his wife, Lizz, in June 2015 and was blessed with a beautiful daughter in September 2016. In his free time, Dyllan enjoys sports, disc golf, and spending time with family and friends. 

Mr. Doug Peavy ~ Teacher

Doug Peavy is currently serving as the teacher for grades 3-5, as well as Language Arts teacher for grades 6-8. He graduated from Martin Luther College in 2014 with a degree in Elementary Education and Secondary Social Studies. After graduating, Doug and his wife spent a year teaching abroad in Shanghai, China.


Doug and his wife Molly were blessed with a beautiful daughter in August 2016. Doug enjoys reading, walking in nature, and spending time with friends and family.


 
Mrs. Glenda Knuth ~ Teacher 

Glenda Knuth is currently serving as the teacher for grades K-4 at Bethel Lutheran School.  She graduated from Martin Luther College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and Minnesota State University, Mankato, in the Licensure Program.  She served at Zion Lutheran School in Valentine, NE, and taught at public schools at Todd County, Florence, and the West Central School Districts in South Dakota. She has an endorsement in Gifted Education.  Glenda earned her Master of Arts degree in Elementary Administration at the University of South Dakota  and a K-12 Math Instruction Specialist Degree from Black Hills State University.

Glenda is married to Dale and they have three children. She enjoys working with children, whether it be teaching reading, sewing, or music lessons.  Glenda enjoys reading, gardening, and making things.  Her favorite sport is watching football (Go Huskers!).
 

Pastor Benjamin Tomczak ~ Catechism

Pastor Tomczak teaches the catechism class for the upper grade students at Bethel. He also leads the all-school chapel services. He has been the pastor at Bethel since January 2013. Prior to that he served a parish in the Dallas-area from 2006-2013. His wife, Kristen, teaches physical education at Bethel. They have four children. For more about Pastor Tomczak, go to

Mrs. Kristen Tomczak ~ Physical Education

Mrs. Kristen (Scharf) Tomczak graduated from Martin Luther College in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree. She taught grades 3 and 4 for seven years at Zion Lutheran School in Monroe Michigan. Additionally, Kristen coached girls volleyball, girls basketball, and all school track and field. She also served as the school's Athletic Director.
After getting married to her husband, Benjamin Tomczak, Kristen moved to Texas where he served as the pastor at St. Mark, Duncanville, and she served in various ways at the church. Ben now serves at Bethel's pastor. Kristen works as the COO of the Tomczak family which has grown to include four children, Katherine, Samuel, Hannah and Rachel.

Kristen loves sports: listening to sports talk radio, watching sports, and most importantly playing sports.  She hopes to transfer her love of physical activity to the students of Bethel.  Christ reminds us in Ephesians 2:10, "We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." And also I Corinthians 6:19-20, "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body."
